Potatoe Fries main

The name French fries suggests as if the French fries hail from France. But actually, the French fries were most likely invented in Belgium, during the winter of 1680 – according to BBC. To this day, Belgium stands strong in its stance that it created the crispy fried spud dish. The popularity of French fries can be recognized from the fact that up to 53% of restaurants have French fries on their menus worldwide. This recipe is quick to make, and everyone loves to have it with cheese sauce, tomato ketchup, and many other sorts of sauces.

  1. Potatoes: 2 (medium-sized)
  2. Salt: 1 tablespoon
  3. All-purpose flour: ( for coating)

Steps to follow:

  • Take two potatoes peel them off and cut them into large cubes
  • Then give these cubes a cut that is diagonal to other cuts
  • Then in a bowl add the potatoes and add salt to it 
  • Then put these potatoes in all-purpose flour and coat the potatoes with it nicely
  • Then in a pan take oil and heat it up
  • Then add these potatoes to it
  • Fry them until they are cooked completely
  1. Water: ½ cup
  2. Sugar: 1 tablespoon
  3. Chilli sauce: 4-5 tablespoons

Steps for the sauce:

  • Take half a cup of water in a pan
  • Add sugar to it
  • Then add chilli sauce
  • Stir it and keep the flame high flame for 3-4 minutes
Serving:

Pour the sauce over the fried potato cubes and serve it

Protips:

Use a fork to open the cubes to make them crispy from the inside.
