A small and crispy hollow ball of fried dough, filled with potato and dunked in spicy water and meethi (sweet) chutney. Gol gappay is a popular Pakistani street food snack you just can’t get enough of. The gol gappa i.e the water ball is ought to be dipped in khata pani (spicy tangy water) and meethi chutney (sweet chutney). And here we will learn about how to make khata pani and meethi chatni.

  1. Tamarind pulp: 1 cup
  2. Salt: 1 tablespoon
  3. Red chilli flakes: 1 tablespoon
  4. Cumin seeds powder: 1 tablespoon
  5. Chaat masala: 1 tablespoon
  6. Fennel seeds( sonf) powder: 1 tablespoon
  7. Dried coriander powder: 1 tablespoon

Steps to follow:

  • Mix them all in the cold water 
  • Khatta pani is ready to serve 

Ingredients for khatti meethi chutney:

  • Red chilli flakes: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Dried coriender powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Fennel seeds: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar: 4 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds: ½ teaspoons
  • Tamarind pulp: 1 cup

Steps to follow:

  • Take tamarind water in a pan.
  • Add all the dry spices.
  • Mix them well and cook it on a high flame under it get thickened.

Ingredients for white sauce:

  • Mayonnaise: 3 tablespoon
  • Sugar: 3 tablespoons
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper: a pinch

Steps to follow:

  • Take mayonnaise in a ball and sugar in it.
  • Then add salt and black pepper to it and mix it well.
  • White sauce is ready.
Serving:

Serve them with water balls.
