This delightful dessert is made by frying small, flattened dough discs made from a mixture of flour, sugar, and aromatic spices like cardamom and nutmeg. Meethi tikiyan is typically enjoyed during festive occasions, such as weddings and religious celebrations like Eid. The dish gained popularity for its simplicity, delicious taste, and preservation ability for longer periods.

  1. All-purpose flour: 2 cups
  2. Semolina: ½ cup
  3. Powdered sugar: 1 ½ cups
  4. Sesame seeds: 2 tablespoons
  5. Oil: 2 tablespoons
  6. Vanilla essence: 2-3 drops

Steps to follow:

  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and knead the dough by adding milk.
  • Now refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
  • Then take it out and make small circles of it.
  • Then sprinkle some sesame seeds and press them a little.
  • Fry them in the oil
  • Now they are ready to serve.
