This one is a different type of aloo ka paratha that does not require the joining of two pieces of flatbread and filling them with the stuffing of boiled mashed potatoes. The Aloo ka paratha for breakfast is made by making a mixture that’s cooked and fried on a hot pan (tawa) to make it crisp on the outside. This dish is very popular among the people of Middle-Eastern and South Asian countries. These aloo kay parathas can be served for breakfast, as well as for lunch and dinner.

  1. Potatoes: ½ kg
  2. All purpose flour: 1 tablespoon
  3. Wheat flour: 3-4 tablespoons
  4. Green chilli: 3,4
  5. Coriander leaves: (qty not mentioned)
  6. Salt: ½ tea spoon
  7. Cumin seeds: ½ tea spoon
  8. Qasoori methi: 
  9. Turmeric powder: 
  10. Onion chopped:

Steps to follow

  • Grate the potatoes first
  • In a bowl take water and wash the grated potatoes in it.
  • Then strain them with the help of a strainer
  • Add wheat flour and all-purpose flour in it
  • Add coriander leaves, and green chilli.
  • Then add all the spices mentioned above.
  • Then add chopped onion in it and mix well
  • Add water to make thick consistency of the paste
  • Then heat the griddle
  • Grease it with oil and put a small amount of batter on it
  • Then spread it with the help of a spatula 
  • Cook it on a medium flame until golden brown

Servings:

Serve them with dipping sauce or ketchupServe it with yoghurt or pickle

Protips:

Always cook on the medium flame because it cooks from the inside very well
