Aloo ki bhujia, a popular dish in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. This flavorful dish revolves around aloo, or potatoes, which are thinly sliced or shredded and then cooked with a blend of spices. While the exact origin of aloo ki bhujia is difficult to trace, it has become a staple in South Asian countries. The dish showcases the versatility of potatoes and their ability to absorb spices, resulting in a satisfying and aromatic dish.

  1. Oil: ½ cup
  2. Cumin seeds: 1 tablespoon
  3. Potato: ½ kg
  4. Onions: 1
  5. Turmeric powder: 1 tablespoon
  6. Salt: 1 tablespoon
  7. Red chilli flakes: 1 tablespoon
  8. Tomato: 1
  9. Green chilli: 3
  10. Yogurt: 4 tablespoon
  11. Garam masala: ½ tablespoon

Steps to follow:

  • Take oil in a pan and add cumin seeds to it. 
  • Cut potatoes into round slices.
  • Add chopped onions and potato slices to the oil.
  • Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli flakes, tomatoes and green chilli to it.
  • Then add yoghurt to it and cover it for 5 minutes.
  • Now cook until the water dries up.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves

Serving:

Serve it with chapati.
