Besan (gramme flour), the main component, is derived from pounded chickpeas and is a mainstay in Indian cookery. Besan is roasted in ghee (clarified butter) till golden brown, providing a nutty fragrance and flavour to the barfi. Sugar, cardamom, and occasionally nuts are mixed into the dough before it is hardened and sliced into diamond-shaped pieces.   1. Gram flour: 2 cups
  2. Desi ghee: 2 cups
  3. Semolina: 1 cup
  4. Sugar: 2 cups
  5. Dry fruits

Steps to follow:

  • In a pan take gram flour and add desi ghee to it.
  • Cook for 30 minutes and add sugar to it.
  • Then cook it and pour it on a layer of dry fruits.
  • Now your besan ki barfi is ready.
