Roots of the chat pata chana chaat can be found all the way back to the B.C era. Chana chaat or chickpea salad used to be made in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. From there onwards, this classic Indian street food salad got spread and became famous across the whole subcontinent. It has a tangy flavour and is usually a bit spicy. Not only does this healthy dish help you lose a couple of pounds, but you’ll do so while fulfilling your taste buds.
Chickpeas can be used to make other delicious recipes like kala chana chaat and aloo imli chana chaat.
- Ingredients
- White chickpeas
- Black chickpeas
- Red beans
- Boiled potatoes
- Cucumber (chopped)
- Tamarind water
- Salt to taste
- Chat masala
- Coriander leaves
- Lemon
- Green chilli
Steps to follow:
- Take boiled black and white chickpeas, Red beans in bowl.
- Take chopped boiled potatoes and mix them with the above mixture.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cucumber in it.
- In a separate ball add tamarind water salt and chat masala.
- Add all the ingredients in it give them a good mix.
- Add coriander leaves green chilli and lemon for garnishing.
