Fried chicken wings, a beloved and iconic dish, trace their origin back to the United States. The specific origins of this crispy and flavorful treat can be attributed to the African-American communities in the Southern states of the US. In the early 20th century, African-American cooks began deep-frying chicken wings as a way to make use of the less desirable parts of the bird. The wings were seasoned, battered, and fried to perfection, resulting in a delicious and affordable meal. Over time, fried chicken wings gained widespread popularity all over the world.
